Science homework - Writing a story on A Drop Of Blood

Dear all

Welcome back to school. I hope everyone has enjoyed the Chinese New Year celebration.

For those who are unwell, please take good care of yourself and drink more water. Cut down on the new year cookies if necessary.

Today, we have recapped the concepts on respiratory and circulatory systems. We have identify the pathway which blood flow in these systems. In addition, we have also included digestive systems in our class discussions.

To those who are absent from school today, take note of the following

(A) Note-taking
Blood flow in a body
Red arrows refer to blood rich in oxygen
Blue arrows refer to blood rich in carbon dioxide

The digestive systems will send digested food via the blood to the heart and pump it to other parts of the body(including the head in the diagram) as shown in the red arrows above.

(B) The class was tasked to complete the following homework in their Nature Study Book.

Imagine that you are a drop of blood being pumped out from the heart in a body. Write a story  on your journey in the body and you may include the following pointers:

1) How the drop of blood travels to all the three body systems (namely, Respiratory, Circulatory and Digestive systems)
2) The parts of the systems and the functions of the parts.
3) How the three body systems work together to allow survival?

(At least 150 words. Typing and printing of your work is optional)

We will continue with the System Activity Book - Activity 4 tomorrow.
