Dear 5A

Please refer to the following link if you cannot view the video here to have a better understanding of the fertilisation process in human.

To view the transcript of the video, select More and then, click on Transcript.

We will also use the video for our class discussions. It will be good if you can trace the pathway which the sperm cells took to reach the egg cell.

More of Little India Learning Journey

For our LJ to Little India, we are a privileged class to have two parent volunteers who not only accompanied us to ensure your safety but also took it upon themselves to be cameraman and co-teachers :)

So, let's put our hands together and express our heartfelt thanks to Jia Yue's father,
Mr Ren, and Ervin's mother, Mrs Wong, for taking time off from work to accompany us on this trip:)
And a big thank-you to Mr Ren for sharing these photos with the class!

Clap! Clap! Clap!  :)

Can you name the dishes at this group's table?

Ervin's mother listening attentively to Caleb's sharing ;)
Remember what temple this is?
It's the Sri Veeramakaliamman Temple-
one of Singapore’s oldest Hindu temples,
in the heart of Little India.

Learning Journey to Little India

Before we knew it, Term 2 is already here! And by the third day I returned from my course, I was out of school again on a learning journey. How cool is that!
It was great opportunity for me to bond with you all, 5A. As promised, here are some pictures of our trip to Little India to share with Sarah, Jie Xin and Amelia who missed this learning journey as they were representing our school in the table tennis competition. Of course, for those of us who had gone on the trip, I hope these photos captured your moments of learning experience.
Everyone excitedly checking on the use of their devices for the learning journey.

Contemplating their choices of Indian sweets to buy and share :)

Check out the beautiful floral and impressive dragon, scorpion henna paintings we got!

Ah... friendship and food is a great combination ;)
Haha... satisfied customers at Tekka Food Centre ;)

Our learning journey isn't all about play and food, you know.
Here's proof of serious learning :)
